Our Q4 WE CARE Awards continue with a special Honorable Mention for Excelerator – a recognition that highlights someone going above and beyond in a key area of Excel’s mission. 🌟 Jennifer Cooper – Honorable Mention for Excelerator Jennifer Cooper, we call her Jenny, has done an outstanding job carrying the flag for our Government division. She stepped into the role back in June and has been such a breath of fresh air. She applies her knowledge and experience and most of all her never-ending flexibility – such an important quality in the complicated world of government staffing. She meets each day with a smile and with a can-do attitude. Jenny often manages both sides of the engagements for clinicians and clients. Continuing our celebration of the Q4 WE CARE Awards, we’re proud to highlight someone who truly represents what it means to be Clinician-Focused. ✨ Shannon Swenson – Quarter 4 Clinician From the very beginning of her assignment, Shannon Swenson has truly embodied Excel’s WE CARE value of being Clinician-Focused. Her professionalism, advocacy, and proactive communication have set the standard for what it means to represent our organization with excellence. Shannon’s dedication was evident from the initial interview process. She came prepared—asking insightful questions and ensuring she had a full understanding of the role and expectations. When an issue arose regarding her requested time off, Shannon didn’t hesitate to take initiative. Following my recommendation, she reached out directly to the hiring manager to discuss and successfully obtain approval, demonstrating both accountability and confidence. Later, when the facility unexpectedly required a new BLS certification before her start date, Shannon again displayed outstanding problem-solving and perseverance. Despite the challenge, she personally worked with the manager to adjust her start schedule, reducing what could have been a two-week delay to just one week. This level of collaboration and self-advocacy is a hallmark of an empowered and clinician-focused professional. Throughout her assignment, Shannon has continued to reflect Excel’s WE CARE spirit through consistent responsiveness and open communication. Whether it was a question about her timecard or a general inquiry, she has always maintained clear, respectful communication with me and the entire Excel team. Her proactive approach ensures not only her own success but also strengthens the relationship between clinician, recruiter, and client. Shannon exemplifies what it means to be Clinician-Focused, Responsive, and Ethical—a true reflection of the values Excel Medical Staffing stands for.
